Huddersfield Town have secured their Championship status with a nervy but deserved 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion.

It was not always pretty, with Town having to use their brains as well as their feet to get the result which effectively staves off a double-relegation.

They can still be caught by one of Hull City or Luton Town, but it would take a goal difference miracle.

It was a hard-fought performance by a team which has not restarted the season as well as it finished it before the covid-19 pandemic, and there were plety of gutsy performers in blue-and--white stripes.

Jonas Lossl – not a huge amount to do but used his experience and the win meant so much to him 7

Trevoh Chalobah– stuck to his task well in an unfamiliar position 7

Richard Stearman– as immense as he was uncomplicated at the back 8

Christopher Schindler– helped to keep a dangerous attacking side at bay 7

Harry Toffolo– not able to be his usual eye-catching self but did the job 7

Jonathan Hogg– kept a quality midfield in check 7

Andy King– in tandem with Hogg locked down the centre of the park 7

Chris Willock – his early goal gave confidence and vital breathing space 7

Lewis O'Brien – his late assist capped an excellent performance 8

Juninho Bacuna– his free-kick made the opening goal and he was a necessary creative influence until limping off 7

Fraizer Campbell– struggled to make an impact but did get booked 6.
