It has not been a particularly hectic summer at Huddersfield Town.
After years of upheaval, Huddersfield have gone about their business rather quietly this summer. There has not been a mass exodus, nor has there been a huge influx of new signings.
As it stands, there are five new faces through the door and part of Martin Drury’s squad. Ilias Bronkhorst, Ethan Brierley, Derensili Sanches Fernandes and Ashley Fletcher have penned permanent deals, while Matty Young has been signed on loan from Sunderland.
It appears to be a case of evolution rather than revolution - but the pressure is firmly on the Terriers. Since their relegation to League One in 2024, Huddersfield have underachieved in the third tier of English football.
Shrewd summer transfer business often sets the tone for a successful season, so fans will be hoping the club have done their homework.
There is still plenty of time remaining in the summer window and further signings could still be made. The free agent market could prove tempting, with an array of players still looking for fresh starts.
Here is a look at 17 players still available to pick up on the free agemt market.
