Huddersfield Town transfer latest: Young forward joins Rotherham United on loan
YOUNG Huddersfield Town forward George Sebine has joined Rotherham United on loan for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old academy product was called up by Martin Drury and Jon Stead for their first game in interim charge late last season.
Sebine, who spent a loan spell earlier in 2025-26 at non-league Guiseley, made six appearances in total and found the net in the final-day victory at AFC Wimbledon.
Asked about Sebine's situation a few weeks ago and whether he would potentially be loaned out to aid his development and boost his game-time levels, Drury hinted it was 'probably a little bit too early to call', but added: "George is training really well.

"We knew what he was going into at the back end of last season and he's done some really good things for us.
"He's got more people around him at the minute that he's able to learn from.
"When we do finishing in training, George is one of the best. He's excellent, he's got real composure in front of goal.
"So we'll continue to work with George. There's things that we need to refine in terms of his capabilities and we'll help him be the best player we can possibly be."
Ahead of the deadline, the Millers also brought in Peterborough United’s Klaidi Lolos on loan.
On Sebine's exit, sporting director Chris Markham said: “George has done brilliantly since joining the Club one year ago, with our Academy programme and full-time football seeing his game develop considerably.
"Building on his natural instincts in front of goal and excellent work rate, his physicality and confidence have seen significant improvements, all of which have led to his increased presence within our Men’s First Team.
“Testament to the work of our exceptional Academy staff, there has been real interest from within the EFL to take George on loan across the summer. Working closely with Head Coach Martin Drury and Director of Player Development Jon Worthington, the collective decision was that a season within a first team dressing room in a different environment would be in George’s best interest long-term.
"We retain the flexibility to recall George in January should we wish, too, so it’s a move that we have real control of.
“Joining an ambitious side within the division and surrounded by experienced players, especially in the forward area, we’ll continue to keep in close contact with George throughout the course of the campaign and monitor his progress, whilst wishing him nothing but success for the season.”
