Huddersfield Town brought in no less than eight new players to bolster their ranks, with the likes of striker Jordan Rhodes, defender Matty Pearson and left-back Josh Ruffels all arriving at the John Smith's Stadium on permanent deals.

One area of real interest in modern football is how well clubs invest talent to sell on, with the wildly inflated market meaning a player could be bought for a bargain fee one season and flogged for big money the next.
