A late goal from substitute Tom Eaves earned Hull City a 2-1 win their football merited.

The Tigers were the dominant but were unable to put a determined Doncaster Rovers team away. They looked as if they were going to be made to pay when Tyreece John-Jules scored an 82nd-minute equaliser.

Josh Magennis – great goal but should have had another one-on-one shortly before the equaliser 7.


Lewis-Potter (for Adelakun, 67) – excellent from the bench 7

Eaves (for Magennis, 85) – did exactly what was needed inside two minutes 8
