'I still think' - Ex-Celtic star issues bleak Hull City verdict ahead of Premier League clash with Brentford

A pundit has issued a prediction ahead of Hull City’s Premier League clash with Brentford

Former Celtic star Chris Sutton believes Hull City will suffer relegation from the Premier League - despite their promising start to the season.

The Tigers were widely tipped for an immediate return to the Championship in pre-season, only to fly out of the traps with early wins over Manchester United and Coventry City.

They have not picked up a league victory since but have taken points from Aston Villa, Chelsea and Everton.

Chris Sutton’s Hull City verdict

Hull will host Brentford on Sunday (October 25) and Sutton has delivered a rather bleak assessment of the Tigers ahead of the game.

Via the BBC Sport website, Sutton said:“Although Hull have made a great start I still think they will get relegated. We know they will have a go at Brentford, but the Bees will be too smart for them.

“Brentford would have beaten Liverpool last week without Yehor Yarmoliuk's stupid red card. If they can keep 11 men on the pitch, they will win this one.”

Hull City’s last outing

Hull were lacklustre in their last outing, falling to a 1-0 defeat to a struggling Fulham side.

“It's easy to analyse this game; we were out of everything,” said Tigers boss Sergej Jakirovic. “Fulham were much better than us in any terms, in and out of possession, first and second balls, duels.

"It was men against boys. We didn't show anything today. But we cannot change anything now.

"The performances of Fulham have been good; they should have more points. We knew it would be tough today. We were completely out of it today.

"It was very frustrating, maybe we had some situations around the box but made wrong decisions. They were much more aggressive than us and could have scored more."
