Kane, who enjoyed an outstanding season on loan under the tutelage of Tigers head coach Grant McCann at Doncaster Rovers last term, had been out of contract at the end of May, but Hull have now struck a new deal with his parent club for him to stay in East Yorkshire until the conclusion of the club's campaign on July 22.

The 21-year-old Bristolian moved to the club during the January transfer window and made six appearances in all competitions before suffering an ankle ligament injury in February.

The midfielder is now back to full fitness.

Meanwhile, Hull - who returned to full contact training last Thursday - have lined up three friendly games in the next week ahead of the resumption of the Championship season at home to Charlton Athletic on Saturday week.

McCann, whose side have picked up just two points from 11 winless league games since January 1 and are two points above the relegatiion zone, said: "There was no easing anybody back into it, we know what we’ve got to do.

"We’ve got some really exciting games and we feel confident going into these games knowing that we’ve got a fully fit squad.

“Looking ahead to the next week, we’ll try to get some friendly games to speed the boys up even more."
