Hull City 'eyeing' move to sign ex-Reading star Femi Azeez from Millwall ahead of Premier League return

Hull City have been credited with interest in a highly-rated Millwall winger

Hull City are reportedly eyeing a move to prise highly-rated winger Femi Azeez from Millwall.

The 25-year-old was a key figure in Millwall’s run to the semi-finals of the Championship play-offs last term, delivering 11 goals and eight assists during the regular season.

He has developed at speed since swapping Reading for Millwall in 2024 and is widely considered to be among the second tier’s most dangerous attacking outlets.

Hull City linked with Millwall star Femi Azeez

Hull will need firepower to survive in the Premier League and according to Football League World, Azeez has been identified as someone who could prove it.

The report has claimed the Tigers have expressed an interest in Azeez, who cut his teeth in non-league football.

Millwall are said to have previously rejected a £20m offer from Ipswich Town for their coveted wideman, which would suggest a hefty fee will be required if Hull make a move.

Femi Azeez’s Premier League ambition

However, the lure of Premier League football could prove strong for a player who has made it clear he wants to reach the promised land.

In an interview with Flashscore in June, Azeez said: “As a footballer, you always want to play at the highest level you can. I've had a good season in the Championship, but whenever I achieve something, I'm always hungry for more and looking towards the next step.

“I'm ambitious both as a footballer and as a person, and I want to reach the highest level possible. The Premier League is the pinnacle of football, and I would love to play there one day. I'll do everything I can to make that happen.”

Hull, who defeated Millwall in the play-offs last season, will kick off their Premier League campaign against Manchester United on August 22.
