Hull City player ratings as pair make big contribution to winning clean sheet against Coventry City
Hull City made it six points from six with a 1-0 victory in their first away game back in the Premier League.
Liam Millar scored the only goal of the game as the Tigers beat Coventry City to continue their winning start to life back in the top division.
Konstantinos Tzolakis – brilliant reaction save to deny Taiwo Awoniyi 8
Lewie Coyle – booked inside 10 minutes and picking up a knock shortly after, it was no surprise to see him replaced at half-time 6
Semi Ajayi – a really solid presence throughout, with one big interception in the second half especially crucial 8
John Egan – helped keep the Sky Blues at arm's length 7
Nobel Mendy – looked angry to be taken off after a very good display and a cracking shot saved by Carl Rushworth 7
Ryan Giles – the fans made it known how keen they are for him to stay 7
Hidemasa Morita – won the ball high up to create Hull's first chance but otherwise fairly ineffective, his habit of dropping into the back three to pick up the ball not yielding much 5
Regan Slater – his usual industrious self 7
Mohamed Belloumi – lovely pass to release Liam Millar for the goal 7
Oli McBurnie – also played a wonderful ball to Millar, the only difference being his went unconverted 7
Elliot Stroud – too frenetic in possession as he adjusts to a new league 5
Substitutes:
Cody Drameh (for Coyle, HT) – came on at half-time and did a steady job 6
Lucas Gourna (for Morita, HT) – much more to come from a young player in a new country, you would think 5
Lucas Herrington (for Mendy, 60) – slotted in well at left centre-back 6
Liam Millar (for Stroud, 60) – fluffed his first chance but more than made up for it 7
Mohamed-Ali Cho (for Belloumi, 83) – N/A
Not used: Phillips, Hjerto-Dahl, McNair, Targett.
