Hull City player ratings: Full debutant catches the eye in mixed bag

The Black Cats will feel it was no less than they deserved for dominating long spells of the game but the manner of the goal after Hull had defended so well left those connected with the Tigers angry at full-time.

Ivor Pandur – pretty well protected, except for the goal 6

Lewie Coyle – able to get forward at times without his defensive duties suffering 7

Alfie Jones – played an important part in Pandur's quiet afternoon 7
