The League One transfer window has been a busy one thus far, with third tier clubs still managing to strengthen their ranks despite the ongoing financial uncertainty in the game, with free agent and loan deals proving especially popular.

While stadiums aren't set to be full of fans any time soon, the season is still shaping up to be a cracker, and the opening two game-weeks have already provided a wealth of shock results controversial decisions. Blackpool snap up new left-back

The Tangerines announced their 11th signing of the summer earlier today, with ex-Everton defender Luke Garbutt joining, following a period as a free agent after being released by the Premier League side last season.

He's also played for the likes of Fulham and Wigan Athletic on loan, and began his career in the Leeds United youth academy.

Hull City miss out on transfer target

Portsmouth's promising striker Reeco Hackett-Fairchild completed a loan move to National League side Bromley, scuppering Hull City's chances of signing the ex-Charlton youngster.

The 22-year-old impressed during a loan spell with Bromley last season, and has been given another chance to gain first-team experience on a temporary basis - rather than joining a divisional rival.

Charlton slap back latest advance for star 'keeper

Addicks stopper Dillon Phillips is a man in high demand, with a number of second tier clubs said to be keen on the 25-year-old.

According to the South London Press, Charlton have now batted away a further offering from an unnamed Championship side, amid interest from the likes of Brentford and Bournemouth.
