Hull City transfer latest: Japanese international midfielder becomes fourth summer signing
HULL CITY have sealed the signing of experienced Japanese defensive midfielder Hidemasa Morita on a two-year deal, with a club option of a further year.
The 31-year-old, capped 40 times by Japan and with over 370 career appearances to his name, including eight major honours, joins as a free agent after leaving Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.
Morita, who had also been linked with fellow Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town, is the club’s fourth signing of the summer and third so far this week following the earlier captures of left-back Matt Targett and defensive midfielder Oscar Zambrano.
Prior to that, City had brought in England international Jack Butland and they remain in the market for a number of other signings.

Olympiacos goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis, Swedish wing-back Elliot Stroud, Aston Villa midfielder Leon Bailey and Orlando City winger Marco Pašalić are among the club's other targets.
In his four-year stint in Lisbon, Morita lifted back-to-back Primeira Liga titles and the Taça de Portugal, scoring 11 goals and providing 16 assists in 166 appearances. He helped Sporting reach the Champions League quarter-finals last season.
