Hull City transfer news: Former Rotherham United defender joins, with Cody Drameh going the other way
Hull City have paid £12m for former Rotherham United loanee Brooke Norton-Cuffy, with Cody Drameh heading in the opposite direction.
Norton-Cuffy has signed a five-year contract at the MKM Stadium.

The Londoner returns to his homeland after two years playing in Serie A for Genoa to give the Tigers another option at right-back. He takes the place in the squad of Drameh, who is set to move in the opposite direction.
Although neither fee has been disclosed, Drameh’s is believed to be around £3.4m.

Now 22, Norton-Cuffy started in Chelsea's academy and was on Arsenal's books when he spent the first half of the 2022-23 season on loan at Rotherham, making 14 Championship starts and six substitute appearances. He moved to Coventry City in the second half of the campaign, then had a yea at Millwall before being sold to Genoa.
Right-back Lewie Coyle is Hull's captain and has started their back-to-back Premier League wins over Manchester United and Coventry, but right at the start of the window Hull showed strong interest in experienced Belgian international Thomas Meunier, who also plays there. The free agent joined Sunderland instead.
Norton-Cuffy has represented England at every age group from under-16 to under-21.
Drameh joined from Leeds United two years ago, but with Coyle for competition and injuries playing a part too, he has started 33 league games in that time. He has, though, played a part in all three of the Tigers' games this season, in all competitions.
