The protracted saga surrounding the future of teenager Keane Lewis-Potter has taken a positive turn with the young forward ending weeks of speculation over his situation by signing a new deal.

The Hull-born striker is now contracted to the club until the summer of 2023, with a further year in the club’s favour.

Meanwhile, Birmingham City midfielder Dan Crowley has completed his expected loan move to the club for the rest of 2020-21.

The developments regarding Lewis-Potter, who has notched seven goals this term, will be viewed as particularly welcome, not least by the 19-year-old, who is now able to fully concentrate on his football.

He said: “I am delighted. It is taken a while, but now I can focus on the games. It means everything to me to play for Hull City.

“It is my club and I cannot want to crack on.”

Young midfielder Max Sheaf has joined Torquay United on loan for the rest of 2020-21.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 5.30pm at the KCOM Stadium.

Last six games: Hull LLWDWD; Accrington LWDWLL.

Referee: T Nield (West Yorkshire).
