Hull are keeping one eye on the upcoming January window. New boss Liam Rosenior will have ‘conversations’ with the club’s hierarchy to thrash out transfer plans for this winter, as detailed in a report by Hull Live.

A few ex-Tigers have been in World Cup action over the past 24 hours. Harry Maguire impressed for England in their 6-2 win over Iran yesterday before going off injured. Dan James and Harry Wilson helped Wales draw 1-1 with USA, whilst Matt Smith, who was on loan at the MKM Stadium last term, stayed on the bench.

Huddersfield Town

Huddersfield ace Sorba Thomas came off the bench in Qatar yesterday. The winger was substituted on by Wales as they drew 1-1 with USA. He sent the following message on Twitter (see below):

The Terriers take on Sheffield United in their next game and the Blades have been linked with a new player. The Daily Mail claim they want Brighton and Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson. They aren’t the only club credited with an interest though, with Millwall, Middlesbrough, Birmingham City, Preston North End, Wigan Athletic, Bristol City and Ipswich Town mentioned as potential suitors too.
