The sides had been due to meet in Christmas week, but a Covid-19 outbreak in the Tigers squad saw the match put back. It will now be played on a Tuesday night, kicking off at 7pm.

Michael Appleton's side are top of the table but results on Saturday allowed second-placed Hull to cut their lead to four points. Grant McCann's men also have a game in hand.

The rearrangement, plus the rescheduling of Hull's home game against Accrington Stanley, means it is scheduled to be the Tigers' eighth of nine matches in a 32-day period which starts after this free week for them, or their ninth in ten if they beat managerless Fleetwood Town to set up a Football League Trophy quarter-final.

Even more important than the February meeting will be Hull's April 24 trip Sincil Bank, their penultimate away game of the regular season.
