Carlos Corberan’s side have endured a tricky run of late, and have won just one of their last five matches – a 3-2 victory over Middlesbrough last weekend.

The Terriers followed that result up with a 3-0 defeat to Cardiff City in midweek, leaving them 16th in the Championship table and just one point ahead of Saturday’s visitors.

For their part, QPR have also put together a disappointing run of just one win in five recently, with their sole recent triumph coming against Rotherham United at the end of last month.

Such similar records have the potential to make for an unpredictable clash between the two sides, but Prutton has given his backing to the hosts.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, he said: “Huddersfield had a poor result in midweek but are still building under Carlos Corberan and anything up in mid-table would show real progress for them.

“This feels like a finely-balanced game and you never quite know what you're going to get from QPR.

"This could go either way, but I'll back a home win.”

Prutton has opted for a 2-1 Huddersfield win.

QPR have proven to be fruitful opponents for the Terriers in recent seasons.

Town are unbeaten against the R’s in their last five meetings, and beat the West London outfit 2-0 in their most recent clash.

Elias Kachunga and Steve Mounie were on target back in February, with the two sides drawing 1-1 earlier in the season.
