That’s according to Football Insider, who suggest that the Terriers are closely monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old is out on loan at Sunderland, and enjoyed a successful campaign so far, with Black Cats boss Lee Johnson describing him as a “Rolls-Royce” player.
Town are not the only side keen on the youngster, however.
Football Insider also credit Sheffield United and Crystal Palace with an interest, while the Daily Mail claim that Sunderland have opened talks with Wolves as they look to make Sanderson’s loan deal permanent.
Brighton and Brentford are also said to be in the running, and it is understood that his parent club are considering a sale for around £2 million.
The player himself is understood to be eager to make his mark at Molineux, but could be open to a move if it secures him regular first team action.
Elsewhere, Football League World suggest that Burnley are considering a move for Hull City’s former Barnsley forward Mallik Wilks.
The 22-year-old has hit 20 goals in all competitions this season, and it is understood that his performances are catching the eye of Turf Moor chiefs.
The Clarets are set to closely monitor his form between now and the end of the season, and could then look to open talks with the Tigers over a deal that would take the versatile attacker from League One to the Premier League.
