Hull City transfer news: Triple Tigers departure as transfer deadline looms

The transfer deadline is nearly upon us, and Hull City have been active right up until the final hours of the window.

Earlier in the day, it was confirmed that Martin Samuelsen has left the KCOM to join Danish side Aalborg BK on a loan deal.

The Norwegian has struggled for minutes in League One this season, and has been limited to just five outings, totalling 40 minutes.

The arrivals of Gavin Whyte and Jordan Flores have done little to help his cause at his parent club, and a move away is surely a wise step from the 23-year-old.

Elsewhere, the Tigers have confirmed another double departure.

U23s midfielder Jordan Hickey has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent having played just 11 minutes of senior football since joining from Sunderland in 2018.

Forgotten winger David Milinkovic has also left the club.

The wide man has been plying his trade for MLS outfit Vancouver Whitecaps since January 2020, and has now played enough times during his loan spell to trigger a clause that makes his stay in Canada permanent.

The 26-year-old is another player who failed to make much of an impact for the Tigers, and he managed just 12 appearances and one goal before heading across the Atlantic.

He hasn’t exactly been prolific in the MLS either, scoring once in 16 outings for his new club, but Hull will probably just be relieved free up some space on their wage bill in the long-term.

With the transfer deadline fast approaching, we’ve gathered the rest of this afternoon’s League One rumours below:
