Leeds United in deadline day pursuit of Sunderland-linked Jean-Mattéo Bahoya after Hull City snub
The latest on the Leeds United transfer front as a French winger is eyed in the final hours of the window
Leeds United are in pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Mattéo Bahoya with the summer transfer window deadline just hours away.
The window is due to close at 11pm tonight (September 1) and the Whites have not yet secured the attacking recruit they want.
Leeds were chasing Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk, only for Tottenham Hotspur to charge into the lead in the race for his signature.

Leeds United eyeing Bundesliga winger
The Yorkshire Post understands Leeds are now looking to add 21-year-old Bahoya to the list of attacking options at Daniel Farke’s disposal.
A left-sided winger by trade, Bahoya can also operate as an attacking midfielder and would arguably be an ideal fit for Farke’s system. He has made 78 appearances for Frankfurt, registering seven goals and eight assists.
It will not be an easy deal to do and talkSPORT’s Alex Crook has credited Sunderland with interest in the France youth international, but Leeds are working to try and get Bahoya on board.
Bahoya looked set for a move to East Yorkshire at the weekend, when reports claimed he had been given permission to travel to England for a medical at Hull City.
An agreement between Hull and Frankfurt was supposedly reached but the BBC claimed Bahoya decided against the move.

Wilfried Gnonto’s situation
If Leeds can get close to a deal for Bahoya, it may pave the way for Wilfried Gnonto to seal a loan move to Fiorentina.
The 22-year-old has been pictured back in his native Italy sporting Fiorentina colours, but Leeds have not wanted to sign off an exit without having a replacement lined up. The transfer window in Italy closes at 7pm.
Leeds supporters must now wait with bated breath to see if the Whites can strike a deal for Bahoya before time runs out.
