Leeds United 'seeking £8-10m' for Joel Piroe amid Middlesbrough, Rangers, Stoke City and Birmingham City links
A fresh report regarding the future of Leeds United’s Joel Piroe amid links to Middlesbrough, Rangers and more
Leeds United will reportedly seek a fee in the region of £8-10m for Joel Piroe amid interest from five clubs.
The 26-year-old fired Leeds to the Championship title last term with a 19-goal haul that landed him the Golden Boot award.
However, opportunities have proven limited for the forward since the Whites returned to the Premier League. He has been pushed down the pecking order by Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha, who arrived in LS11 on free transfers last summer.
Speculation regarding Piroe’s future has been rife since January, when there was talk of a mid-season move for the Suriname international. An exit did not materialise, but it appears one could be sanctioned in the summer.

Joel Piroe latest
According to TEAMtalk, Leeds will not look to recoup the entire amount they paid Swansea City for Piroe’s services in 2023.
It is believed they forked out over £10m, but it has been suggested the Whites could accept as little as £8m.
Interest from Scottish giants Rangers, who share owners with Leeds, is thought to have been maintained, and Middlesbrough are said to hold a strong interest.
Middlesbrough’s Championship rivals Stoke City and Middlesbrough are reported to have shown general interest, albeit interest that has not developed further.
Piroe’s former club PSV Eindhoven have also been mooted as a potential destination, although there has not been talk of fresh momentum being gathered by the Dutch club.

Joel Piroe’s future
Leeds have had little use for Piroe and freeing up space in the squad and budget could prove helpful as the Whites look to kick on.
For Piroe, a move away from Elland Road appears to be in the best interest of his career development. He has made just two league starts this season, which is hardly enough to keep him progressing at the speed he needs to be.
