Leeds United’s attention is set to briefly divert from the Premier League as they visit Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.
It is a competition that has not been particularly kind to Leeds over the years, but the Whites did end their FA Cup hoodoo with a run to the semi-final last term.
They will now be looking to make progress in the Carabao Cup - and exact revenge on the club who eliminated them from the FA Cup last season.
“We'll try to win it,” said manager Daniel Farke. “It's the quickest way to Europe and to some glory.
“Of course the Premier League will always have the priority and (we have) to make sure that we are as successful as possible there, especially to reach our first goal to establish ourselves at this level.
“This is a challenging, difficult game but we travel to London to go through into the next round without doing anything stupid.
“You also have to rotate a bit more and integrate a few new players. But we also want to go through.”
The Yorkshire Post has predicted how Leeds could line up under the lights at Stamford Bridge.

12. FW: Lukas Nmecha
