Blackburn should fear Leeds - not vice versa, says Redfearn

NEIL REDFEARN has called for his Leeds United players to create their own fearful reputation ahead of Saturday’s trip to Blackburn Rovers.

This weekend’s trip to seventh-placed Blackburn marks the start of an extremely tough looking upcoming fixture list for the Whites who then entertain Championship leaders Derby County next Saturday.

Fifteenth-placed Leeds then travel to fourth-placed Ipswich Town on December 6 but Redfearn wants United’s opponents to worry about his men and not the other way around.

Assessing United’s forthcoming return to action, Redfearn said: “It’s maybe not so much crunch time but it’s a tough run of games.

“But we’ve got to get ourselves into a position where we’re more consistent and we’re more thorough in what we do so that Blackburn look at it and think, ‘ooo, we’ve got Leeds Saturday,’

“So Ipswich think ‘ooo, we’ve got Leeds Saturday, so that Derby think ‘we’ve got Leeds Saturday, I don’t fancy going there.’

“This is what we’ve got to do and we’ve got to make them think about us.

“The more consistent we are and the more we can portray that image the better we’ll be.”
