The Leeds United winger will join up with the province after Saturday’s clash with Birmingham City and is preparing to feature in key games against Greece and Finland.

Northern Ireland are top of Group F and close to qualifying for next year’s tournament in France.

A victory against Greece on October 8 would guarantee O’Neill’s side a place at the finals.

The Irish finish their campaign away in Finland three days later and are bidding to reach their first major tournament since the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.

Dallas has featured prominently in Northern Ireland’s qualifiers and his domestic form since joining Leeds from Brentford last month has kept him in O’Neill’s plans.

The 24-year-old is set to make his 10th start of the Championship season at home to Birmingham, maintaining his ever-present record, and he will link up with Northern Ireland’s squad immediately after that match.

Dallas spoke of his anticipation after ties against Hungary and the Faroe Islands earlier this month, saying: “We’re in a strong position and we’re still top of the group.

“We’ll go back to our clubs now and come back in October to get that result to get us over the line.”
