FT: Bolton 1-2 Middlesbrough
Spanish striker Kike’s second-half strike saw Middlesbrough bounce back from their defeat at Leeds to beat Bolton 2-1 at Macron Stadium.
Wanderers had taken the lead through a Craig Davies penalty, but Middlesbrough hit back through a spot-kick of their own just before half-time, scored by Grant Leadbitter, and Kike’s effort 12 minutes from time saw them seal the win.

Hide AdBrighton grabbed their first win of the season as goals by Joao Teixeira and substitute Kazenga LuaLua earned a 2-0 triumph and punished Leeds for a dismal home performance.
Brighton, without a goal or a point from their opening two Championship games, shocked the home crowd by racing into a fifth-minute lead. Fleet-footed Portuguese midfielder Teixeira, making his first start on a season-long loan from Liverpool, confidently swept the ball past goalkeeper Marco Silvestri from a narrow angle after a swift move down the right caught Leeds’ defence flat-footed.
And LuaLua completed the scoring with a free-kick six minutes from time to hand new Seagulls boss Sami Hyypia a much-needed boost.
FT: Reading 1-2 Huddersfield
Reading slipped to their first defeat of the season when they lost 2-1 against Huddersfield Town in a Sky Bet Championship encounter at the Madejski Stadium.

Hide AdHuddersfield dominated much of the game and forged into a 2-0 half-time lead with fine finishes from Jacob Butterfield and Harry Bunn.
Reading reduced the deficit with an individual effort from Simon Cox with 11 minutes left but Huddersfield clung on for their first win of the season.
FT: Rotherham 0-2 Watford
Watford taught Rotherham a harsh lesson about life in the Sky Bet Championship after they staged a late show at New York Stadium to win 2-0.
The Millers, playing just their third game back in the second tier following promotion last season, put in a rousing display for the much of the match yet were unable to convert a string of chances. And Watford, who were well below what is expected of them this season, handed down the sternest of punishments as two goals in the final 17 minutes won it.
