Two goals from Lewis Grabban and a brace Yann Kermorgant gave the Cherries complete control before Ross McCormack scored a late consolation.

Struggling Barnsley recorded a terrific 3-1 win at Reading. Stephen Dawson scored before Pavel Pogrebnyak equalised from the penalty spot in the 19th minute.

But Reuben Noble-Lazarus and dale Jennings scored near the hour mark to seal a vital win.

Goals from Adam Hammill and Nahki Wells twice gave Huddersfield Town a lead against Middlesbrough, but Albert Adomah replyied on both occasions in a 2-2 draw.

Doncaster Rovers lost 2-0 at Burnley, while Leon Best struck a stoppage-time winner as Sheffield Wednesday beat Brighton.

Conor Coady struck twice as Sheffield United won 2-0 at Crawley in League One.

Two goals from Kieran Agard (14, 45) and a third from Haris Vuckic saw Rotherham United to a big 3-0 win over Brentford at the New York Stadium.

Bradford City were 0-0 at home to Walsall.

In League Two, York City continued their superb run with a 1-0 win over Torquay thanks to William Hayhurst’s 19th-minute goal.
