Leeds United: Lack of first team guarantee leaves Milos loan on hold
United targeted Veljkovic last week and were hopeful of signing him on a short-term basis ahead of Saturday’s clash with Burnley but the transfer has hit complications and is now on hold.

Hide AdLeeds are understood to have asked to take Veljkovic on an initial month-long loan but Spurs, who allowed the Serbian to spend time at Middlesbrough and Charlton Athletic last season, planned to send him out for a longer, half-season spell.
The Premier League club are also believed to have looked for assurances that Veljkovic would make regular appearances during his loan at Elland Road, a commitment which Leeds were unwilling to make.
Veljkovic, who has made a handful of substitute appearances for Spurs, played six times during his loans at Boro and Charlton.

Hide AdThe teenager is a versatile player who can also operate at centre-back and Leeds head coach Uwe Rosler looked to him to provide cover following recent injuries to midfielders Luke Murphy and Tommaso Bianchi.
Murphy is back in full training after a knee surgery but Bianchi, who also required a knee operation, will not be fit until next month.
