Matt Smith saw red for a foul on Reda Johnson within second of coming on as a half-time substitute but to be fair the Owls were by far superior at 2-0, by that stage.

Reda Johnson and Atdhe Nuhlu found the net before the interval to put the Owls in complete control and Connor’s Wickham’s 51st-minute strike left Leeds to limit the damage as a fourth straight loss beckoned.
