FA Cup Rd 3

Aston Villa v Sheffield United

Team news: Nigel Clough has no fresh injury worries for the trip to Villa Park, though will be without Simon Lappin who has returned to Cardiff City at the end of his loan stay in Yorkshire.

Barnsley v Coventry City

Team news: Barnsley are waiting to see if Stoke give permission to field loan winger Brek Shea. Bobby Hassell (calf) is out, with Chris Dagnall, Jim McNulty and Dale Jennings back from loan spells. Paddy McCourt, Tomasz Cywka and Marcus Pedersen could be handed starts.

Doncaster Rovers v Stevenage Borough

Team news: A host of players, including James Coppinger, Paul Keegan, Rob Jones, Reece Wabara, Jamie McCombe and James Husband remain out for Rovers. Bongani Khumalo and Billy Paynter could return, with Chris Brown also in the fray.

Grimsby Town v Huddersfield Town

Team news: James Vaughan is again a doubt with a knee injury, while Anthony Gerrard could come in for Joel Lynch after replacing his team-mate at half-time during the New Year’s Day defeat at Burnley.

Macclesfield Town v Sheffield Wednesday

Team news: Chris Maguire looks set to start alongside Atdhe Nuhiu, with Connor Wickham unable to play due to his loan deal. Defender Roger Johnson has returned to Wolves, meaning a recall for Miguel Llera. Michail Antonio could feature after six weeks out with a knee injury.

Middlesbrough v Hull City

Team news: Goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos will make his Boro debut. Jonathan Woodgate, Frazer Richardson and Andy Halliday remain doubts, but Dean Whitehead returns from suspension. Hull’s Stephen Quinn (hamstring) is in line for his first appearance since November 9, with second-string strikers Matty Fryatt and Nick Proschwitz also hopeful of an opportunity.

Rochdale v Leeds United

Teams: Paddy Kenny should be fit despite continuing to be troubled by the ankle injury he sustained in the defeat at Nottingham Forest. Alex Mowatt (back) is, though, a major doubt after being substituted on New Year’s Day. Noel Hunt could be in the 18 and teenage winger Gboly Ariyibi is pushing for a start.

York City v Dagenham and Redbridge

Team news: Ryan Jarvis is an injury doubt after being replaced by Ryan Bowman in the New Year’s Day win over Morecambe. Michael Ingham starts in goal following Aaron McCarey’s recall by Wolves. New signing Shaquille McDonald is not fit enough to feature while Josh Carson and Ryan Brobbel are pushing for a recall.
