Premier League

Hull City v Manchester City

12.45pm

Team news: Jake Livermore is fit to return after missing the Sunderland Cup win with a virus, while Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic (both Cup tied) will go straight back into the starting XI. For the visitors, Sergio Aguero is a doubt with the hamstring injury that led to the Argentinian limping out of the midweek loss to Barcelona.

Championship

Bournemouth v Middlesbrough

Team news: Lee Tomlin (ankle) will be assessed by Aitor Karanka. Definitely sidelined are Jonathan Woodgate (calf), Seb Hines (thigh) and Tomas Mejias, out for another three weeks with a dislocated finger. Rhys Williams (Achilles) is a long-term casualty, while Dani Ayala is set to be missing for another three to four weeks following ankle surgery.

Burnley v Leeds United

Team news: Jimmy Kebe (virus) is again missing but, otherwise, there are no fresh injury problems. Jack Butland will continue in goal but Brian McDermott is likely to make changes from the side thrashed in midweek by Reading.

Huddersfield Town v Blackburn Rovers

Team news: James Vaughan could return after a month out with a calf injury as Mark Robins attempts to juggle his resources in an attempt to cope with two games in three days, Town having been in action on Wednesday night at Charlton.

Nottingham Forest v Doncaster Rovers

Team news: Gabriel Tamas is out for four to six weeks after suffering a fractured cheekbone in an incident in a nightspot in Doncaster. Also sidelined are Rob Jones (neck) and Jamie McCombe (back). Ross Turnbull is in light training following a calf injury, but the game comes too soon for him. Abdoulaye Meite is set to feature after returning to training yesterday following a slight hamstring strain. Bongani Khumalo (dislocated kneecap) is out for the rest of the season, with Rovers seeking to extend Jordan Bowery’s loan, with his deal ending after today’s game.

Sheffield Wednesday v Birmingham City

Team news: Jacques Maghoma will again play no part after damaging knee ligaments against Wigan on Wednesday to join an extensive injury list. Better news for Stuart Gray, though, is Sam Hutchinson and Leon Best have extended their loan spells and can play today.

Watford v Barnsley

Team news: The Reds are without centre-half Martin Cranie for at least three weeks with a hamstring injury. Central defensive partner Peter Ramage is also highly doubtful with a similar problem, last serious than Cranie’s. Jean-Yves M’Voto and Lewin Nyatanga are expected to line up in the middle of the back four. Bobby Hassell (calf) is still sidelined along with Marcus Pedersen. Jim O’Brien is sidelined for the rest of the season following a cartilage operation.

League One

Colchester United v Bradford City

Team news: James Hanson, a surprise starter in midweek after missing the Brentford defeat three days earlier with a groin problem, will continue up front, while Matty Dolan may continue in midfield in place of Gary Jones as the captain continues to battle illness.

Rotherham United v Walsall

Team news: Millers chief Steve Evans reports a clean bill of health, with Wes Thomas in contention again and hitting a hat-trick in a training-ground game with team-mates on Thursday. Rob Milsom is also back in the mix.

League Two

York City v Wycombe Wanderers

Team news: Wes Fletcher continues to be troubled by a groin problem but he should be fit to start on the bench as Nigel Worthington sticks with the XI for a fifth consecutive game.
