Cardiff City v Hull City

Team news: Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long will return to the starting line-up after missing the Cup tie at Brighton. Liam Rosenior has recovered from a thigh problem that has kept the defender out for two games but James Chester, an unused substitute at the Amex,will not be rushed back into the starting line-up. Robbie Brady (groin) is out along with Paul McShane, who will not play again this season.

Championship

Barnsley v Millwall

Team news: Danny Wilson will check the fitness of a number of players ahead of this afternoon’s game including top-scorer Chris O’Grady, Jack Hunt and Paddy McCourt. Jacob Mellis is available after a three-match ban, but Marcus Pedersen is still expected to be missing.

Huddersfield Town v Sheffield Wednesday

Team news: James Vaughan is out for three weeks with a torn calf, while Joel Lynch is also a major doubt for Town. For Wednesday, Kieran Lee is out with a hamstring problem along with Jose Semedo but Leon Best and Gary Gardner are likely to continue.

Middlesbrough v Leeds United

Team news: For Boro, deadline-day signing Lee Tomlin is expected to make his belated debut after finally completing a three-match ban after being dismissed in his final game for previous club Peterborough United. Goalkeeper Shay Given is set to play the last game of his impressive loan spell on Teesside before returning to parent club Aston Villa. Leeds goalkeeper Paddy Kenny is a major doubt with the ankle injury that has been troubling him since United lost at Nottingham Forest late last year. New loan signing from Stoke City, Jack Butland, is likely to deputise, while Sam Byram could also be struggling to play because of a hamstring strain.

Yeovil Town v Doncaster Rovers

Team news: Richie Wellens returns from a two-match ban, but Billy Sharp is still out, and will serve the second game of a three-match suspension. Rovers will assess the fitness of Theo Robinson, who returned to training on Thursday. Harry Forrester (knee) is out for at least six weeks and most likely for the rest of the season. Rob Jones and Jamie McCombe are still missing.

League One

Bradford City v MK Dons

Team news: Both Andrew Davies and Carl McHugh are fit despite a nasty clash of heads between the defensive pair during the midweek win over Port Vale. Kyle Bennett is likely to start on the right ahead of Garry Thompson but Matthew Bates (hip) and Matt Taylor (foot) are not fit to face the Dons along with Raffaele De Vita (hip/groin).

Carlisle United v Rotherham United

Team news: Rob Milsom (thigh) will not be risked after suffering a slight setback in training. He should be back in full training next week. Craig Morgan could be available after a bout of tonsilitis, while Claude Davis should be in the fray after suffering a head injury last weekend. Mark Bradley (back) is ‘50-50’.

Sheffield United v Bristol City

Team news: John Brayford (muscle discomfort) should be okay to feature. Chris Porter, and Stephen McGinn, who picked up knocks in midweek, face late tests. Ben Davies could be handed a full debut, while Stefan Scougall and Jamie Murphy could be recalled.

League Two

York City v Southend United

Team news: Daniel Parslow remains York’s only injury absentee as striker Ryan Jarvis comes back into contention. He may have to be content with a place on the bench following last week’s impressive 4-0 win at Plymouth. Wes Fletcher, substituted at Home Park, is fit to start.
