Premier League

Hull City v QPR

Team news: Mohamed Diame, missing since December 3 with a knee injury, had been tipped for a potential return today but a setback in training means he is still out. Nikica Jelavic is fine after training all week, as is new signing Dame N’Doye.

Championship

Derby County v Sheffield Wednesday

Team news: Chris Maguire returns from a two-match suspension against his former club, and Will Keane has shaken off a knee injury. Jose Semedo (ankle) is a doubt, but Glenn Loovens (ankle) is out for eight weeks.

Team news: Joel Lynch is again out with a groin injury that has kept the defender on the sidelines for the past three matches. Striker Nahki Wells is in line for a recall to the starting line-up after being on the bench at Bournemouth a week ago. Russell Slade, who remains without Anthony Pilkington, Joe Mason and Kagisho Dikgacoi, is unlikely to make too many changes following an encouraging midweek display.

Middlesbrough v Leeds United

Saturday 12.15pm

Team news: Liam Cooper is fit but with Sol Bamba having recovered from a hamstring problem the former Hull City apprentice may have to be patient. Tommaso Bianchi has undergone an operation and may be back before the end of the season. For Boro, Dimi Konstantopoulos is suspended after being sent off in midweek at Birmingham so Tomas Mejias is set to continue. Daniel Ayala (thigh) is out.

Wolves v Rotherham United

Team news: Lee Frecklington is still a week away from returning for the Millers, while Jack Hunt is 50-50 for today’s game after initial fears the injury he sustained on Tuesday night could end his season.

League One

Barnsley v Crewe

Team news: John O’Sullivan, signed on loan from Blackburn Rovers in the week, is likely to make his debut for the Reds. One of many changes expected to be made by caretaker manager Mark Burton is the removal of Peter Ramage from the centre of defence.

Bradford City v Walsall

Team news: James Hanson and Andrew Davies both miss out after suffering hamstring strains in the midweek win at Leyton Orient, while Filipe Morais is also out after jarring his knee. Ollie McBurnie is back in the squad after being recalled from Chester.

Port Vale v Doncaster Rovers

Team news: Midfielder Harry Forrester is back in training and available. Striker Curtis Main and midfielder Abdul Razak are pushing for a start after strong cameos from the bench on Tuesday night. James Coppinger could be back in a week’s time but as with Forrester, manager Paul Dickov does not want to rush him back.

Sheffield United v Coventry City

Team news: Jose Baxter and Jay McEveley return to the squad after missing the midweek win at Notts County. Otherwise, Nigel Clough has a fully-fit squad to choose from.

League Two

Northampton Town v York City

Team news: Striker Jake Hyde sits out the second of a three-game ban following his recent red card, allowing Wes Fletcher an opportunity to build on his two-goal salvo in the win over Tranmere in City’s last outing.
