Sunday, September 1

Hull City striker Matty Fryatt is the suject of interest from the Championship with both Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough interested in a player who appears surplus to requirements at the KC Stadium.

Saturday, August 31

Hull City manager Steve Bruce says that he is still in the market for a striker and does not rule out a move for Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner. He also says he would not be breaking the club’s transfer record of £5.25m - paid last month for Tom Huddlestone - for the Danish striker or any other forward. Crystal Palace are also interested in Bendtner.

Sheffield Wednesday completed the signing of defender Jamie Spence from West Ham United on an emergency one-month loan with the deal reportedly struck at 1.30am.

Doncaster Rovers chairman John Ryan confirms that deals have been agreed with Reece Wabara and Richie Wellens to keep them at the club until January.

Friday, August 30

Pablo Mills has rejoined Rotherham United after training with the club for the last few weeks.

York City have completed the signing of Middlesbrough’s Ryan Brobbel on loan.

Scott Golbourne has completed his move from Barnsley to Wolves for an undisclosed fee.

Sheffield United’s Matty Harriott has joined Northampton Town on a free transfer.

David Flitcroft has revealed that Barnsley have accepted a bid from League One side Wolves for left-back Scott Golbourne and that the 25-year-old is having a medical at Molineaux.

York City have signed George Taft from Leicester City on a one-month loan deal.

Sheffield United have paid a fee of around £300,000 for Oldham Athletic’s former Everton player Jose Baxter.

Doncaster Rovers manager Paul Dickov says he is confident of securing extensions to the deals for Reece Wabara, on loan from Manchester City, and Richie Wellens, who joined the club on a short-term deal in summer.

Lionel Ainsworth has joined Motherwell on loan from Rotherham United.

Leeds United are still locked in contract talks with striker Ross McCormack after rejecting three seven-figure bids from Middlesbrough for the highly-rated Scotland international. McCormack is contracted to the club until the summer of 2015. Speaking on Tuesday after Leeds beat Doncaster Rovers in the Capital One Cup, McDermott said nothing has changed in relation to where the club are in their negotiations with McCormack.

Sheffield Wednesday are looking at former Manchester City and Bolton winger Martin Petrov. The Bulgarian international, 33, left La Liga side Espanyol in the summer.

Sheffield United are reportedly leading the race for Coventry City’s Callum Wilson. The Sky Blues striker, 21, has scored five goals in five games already this season. Blades assistant Lee Carsley is the link to Wilson, after the former Everton midfielder’s spell on the coaching staff at Coventry.

Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson insists red-hot striker Nahki Wells is going nowhere, despite big-spending QPR being the latest name added to the melting pot of interested clubs. The Bermudan international, who has hit six goals in the opening five games, is reportedly valued at around £3m.
