The Whites have been beset by absences for large parts of the campaign, and as a result, Marcelo Bielsa has often been forced to field a relatively makeshift back-line.
Alioski, accustomed to filling in at left-back during his spell at Elland Road, has made all but four of his 24 Premier League outings so far this term in defence.
The North Macedonian hasn’t started a match since the 4-2 defeat to Arsenal on Valentine’s Day, however, and with his contract set to expire at the end of the campaign, there remains widespread uncertainty over just how secure his future in Yorkshire is.
It is understood that Leeds are eager to keep the player on their books beyond this summer, but a fresh report from Football Insider seems to suggest that they could have a fight on their hands.
The online publication claims that Alioski has already told his agent to start hunting for a new club as he looks to engineer his exit from Elland Road.
And former England striker Kevin Phillips has argued that his recent spell out of the side is a clear indication that he is approaching a summer transfer.
Speaking to the same site, he said: “It is looking more than likely that he’ll leave in the summer.
“It is an area that Bielsa will be looking at ahead of the summer window. They will be looking to bring someone in.
“Although Alioski has done well when he has played, to have been dropped for the last three games is not a good sign."
Elsewhere, Pascal Struijk looks as if he could have a big decision to make in the near future, according to Voetbal International.
The 21-year-old is another player who has seen an unexpectedly high number of minutes in the top flight this term, and his performances have been attracting attention from both Belgium and the Netherlands.
The defender is a Dutch youth international, but is struggling to force his way into the senior setup. He does, however, also qualify to play for Belgium, and Roberto Martinez is said to be keen on securing his allegiances.
Struijk is understood to be weighing up his options ahead of an “important decision”...
