Diego Llorente – has really looked the part since bedding in 7

Pascal Struijk – immense against some high-quality forwards 8

Ezgjan Alioski – a couple of vital interventions and got forward when he could too 8

Kalvin Phillips – ran the midfield well 8

Helder Costa – his dangerous counter-attack ended in a deflected shot before he fell foul of a hefty Aaron Wan-Bissala foul 6

Stuart Dallas – not at his absolute best but a wonderful pass to release Costa 7

Tyler Roberts – struggled to make an impact and was briefly a right-winger before his withdrawal 6

Jack Harrison – hinted at being able to catch Manchester United out on the counter-attack a few times in the first half and never did. Not much of a threat when he switched to the left for the second 6

Patrick Bamford – not very involved in a cagey game 6.
