Leeds United eye big-money goal-machine striker raid, Huddersfield Town join race for top tier defender

Leeds United are back in Premier League action this evening, when they take on David Moyes' Champions League-chasing West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Speaking ahead of the game, Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa singled out star summer signing Raphinha for praise, and revealed: "What Raphinha is able to create, we’ve already seen.

“After, what shows more shine or not is whether he’s able to do it on a regular basis. The set-pieces, he manages them very well.Physically, he’s very apt .He can unbalance individually or combine with his team-mates.

“I can’t think of many more things to add to an attacking player, but the most important thing is how many times those resources are shown in every game.”

Meanwhile, down in the Championship, it was a weekend of mixed results for Yorkshires sides: Barnsley won their seventh Championship game in a row to storm into the play-off places, Huddersfield Town picked up a precious point against Cardiff City, while Sheffield Wednesday slumped to another defeat, losing 3-0 to Reading.

Here are today's biggest transfer stories and the latest team news involving Leeds United, Huddersfield Town and a number of other clubs from Yorkshire and beyond, as the fall-out and reaction from the weekend's action continues:
