The result was made even more impressive by the fact Leeds played the second half with just ten men, after skipper Liam Cooper was sent off for a badly misjudged challenge just before half-time.
Speaking after the big win, ex-Whites man Dominic Matteo gave his verdict on Cooper's red card, and contended: “I thought it was a good tackle. That's me being me but I would have loved that tackle to be honest.
“It was perfect, he took the ball, he took everything. We know that nowadays you can't do that and you can't get away with it unfortunately but for me there is nothing wrong with that kind of tackle.
“He was off the floor a little bit but we have seen other teams get away with that such as the challenge on Tyler Roberts in the Sheffield United game.”
