Meslier: A good one-handed save to keep out Neto’s curler was a nice early confidence boost. Made some decent blocks to thwart Neto and so unlucky with Traore’s strike. 7

Shackleton: Handed a start in a central defensive midfield role and certainly did not look out of place against Neves and Moutinho. 6

Ayling: His error let in the dangerous Neto early on with his curler saved. But it was a moment in isolation. Sturdy performance and did his bit going forward. 7

Cooper: As silly as it sounds, he could have easily taken home the match-ball after a hat-trick of chances from brilliant set-pieces from Raphinha. Defensively sound enough. 7

Dallas: Had an unenviable task looking after Neto, who was Wolves’ biggest threat by a distance. Stuck to his guns. 6

Struijk: Decisive in his duties at the back and went close with a first-half rebound. A player with a bright future. 8

Raphinha: Soon started to impose himself and his contest with Neto was a joy. As ever, the winger had his moments and produced several episodes of trademark quality with his deadly deliveries. 8.

Klich: Kept Leeds ticking over and took the initiative when he could. Very close with a cross-shot which shuddered the base of the post. 7

Roberts: Handed a rare start and looked eager to make the most of it. But could not make a telling impact, however hard he tried. 5

Harrison: Work-rate without the ball was strong, but did not shine offensively. Disappointing. 5

Bamford: Unlike at Villa and Leicester, this was a quiet night in the Midlands in front of the watching Gareth Southgate. Did have the ball in the net late on, but thwarted by an offside flag. 6

Substitutes: Hernandez (Shackleton 66), 6; Alioski (Klich 81), 6; Costa (Harrison 81) - missed a glorious chance to level - 6.

Not used: Casilla, Llorente, Davis, Gelhardt, Jenkins, Huggins.
