Serie A giants could beat Leeds United to £10m-rated ace, Rotherham United eye midfielder

Leeds United continue to prepare for the return of Premier League football behind the scenes, as they look to emerge from the international break ready to finish the 2020/21 campaign on a high, in what has been a highly encouraging campaign in the club's first top tier season in over a decade.

Whites ace Patrick Bamford, who was controversially snubbed by England in their latest squad for the international break, has backed his side to secure a top-half finish, and claimed: "In one off games we have played against the top teams and top four teams and we have beat some of them.

“It’s kind of wrong to say that because we have beat them we could definitely get top four but if we got a bit more consistent I think that top ten should be a minimum.

“With the way that we play and if we shore up a little bit and do get that consistency then there’s no reason why not.”

Meanwhile, in the Championship, Rotherham United and Sheffield Wednesday are gearing up for the resumption of a gruelling relegation battle that could see both sides potentially slip into the third tier, while, conversely, high-flying Barnsley continue to push for an unprecedented play-off place.

Here are today's biggest transfer stories and the latest team news involving Leeds United, Rotherham United and a host of other sides from Yorkshire and beyond, as the build-up to the upcoming weekend's action continues:
