Leeds United have been quiet so far this transfer window, but there could still be time for one deal to be wrapped up.

Unfortunately for Whites fans, it looks set to be an exit – and a relatively minor one at that.

Rafa Mujica has been on loan at Real Oviedo over the first half of the campaign, but has struggled massively for game time, and has subsequently been linked with a second, separate stint with Las Palmas for much of this month.

A deal has been in the offing for days, but with the transfer deadline fast approaching, it looks as if there has finally been some movement in terms of it being finalised.

According to Las Palmas boss Pepe Mel, the club couldn’t bring anybody in until they had first made space in their squad, as per AS.

The man most likely player to depart has been Pietro Iemmello, who was on loan in Gran Canaria from Benevento.

Now, however, as per a report from Marca, he has left to join Serie B outfit Frosinone, thus clearing the way for Mujica to make his move.

It looks like it could be a smart move from Las Palmas too.

Despite only being given five outings by Real Oviedo, four of which were from the bench, the 22-year-old has scored twice – averaging a goal every 66 minutes.

By contrast, Iemmello scored just once in 12 outings, giving him a rate of one strike every 554 minutes.

Elsewhere, it has been reported that Leeds feel that they pulled off a real coup by signing Raphinha over the summer.

The Brazilian winger has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water following his £17 million move from Rennes, and the Whites are said to be delighted with the value for money he has offered.

So far, he has hit three goals and three assists in the top flight, and his average match rating of 6.94 is the sixth-highest in the Leeds’ squad – and the third-highest of their attacking players – as per Whoscored.
