Middlesbrough reshuffle on cards

Sky Sports have claimed the wideman is nearing a temporary switch to Middlesbrough, who are eyeing promotion to the top flight.

Space in their squad looks set to be created by the sale of versatile forward Morgan Whittaker. MLS outfit Colorado Rapids are said to have agreed a deal to sighn the 25-year-old, who was a marquee signing for Boro back in January 2025.

Whittaker was linked with West Ham United earlier on in the window, but now looks set for the first overseas move of his career.

Amario Cozier-Duberry profile

Cozier-Duberry developed in Arsenal’s esteemed youth system before making the switch to Brighton in 2024.

His first loan move away from the Seagulls took him to Blackburn Rovers, for whom he could not become a key figure. Bolton swooped last summer and the winger flourished under the tutelage of Steven Schumacher in League One.

During his Arsenal days, he was likened to Gunners star Bukayo Saka by his then-academy coach Jack Wilshere.

Wilshere told The Athletic: “His super-strengths are his ball-carrying and ability to take people on. He’s an exciting footballer, but [has] loads to learn.

“Amario is very exciting and Mikel [Arteta, Arsenal boss] likes him. He reminds me of Bukayo Saka, plays in the same position as him, needs to get better with his decision-making like Bukayo did, but he’s definitely exciting.

“In some moments he’s unplayable. You give him the ball and he can make things happen. You can set up a team and have a game plan, but when you’ve got individuals like that you’ve got a chance.”
