Final Championship table predicted with new Middlesbrough, Millwall, Ipswich Town, Derby County and Hull City verdicts

A busy weekend of Championship football has teed up a fascinating final week of the regular season.

Middlesbrough kept their hopes of automatic promotion alive by completing a 5-1 rout of Watford and Millwall stayed in the mix by drawing 1-1 with Leicester City.

Ipswich Town are the team both need to leapfrog into the second and the Tractor Boys played out a goalless stalemate at West Bromwich Albion.

Hull City’s chances of finishing in the top six were dented by Charlton Athletic, who emerged as 2-1 victors at The Valley. However, the Tigers were pleased to see Wrexham lose 3-1 to champions Coventry City, and they could still sneak into the play-offs.

Derby County also have a chance having defeated Queens Park Rangers 3-2 away from home. Further down the table, Oxford United channeled the frustration of relegation to thump rock-bottom Sheffield Wednesday 4-1.

Norwich City shared the spoils with Swansea City, Birmingham City edged past Bristol City and Stoke City lost at home to Portsmouth.

Sheffield United’s season is petering out in painful fashion and the Blades were defeated 3-2 by Preston North End at Bramall Lane.

With the regular season in its final week, data experts Opta have deployed their supercomputer to predict how the final Championship table will look.
