Woods: Sacrificed early in second half. 5

Docherty: Struggled as the first-half wore on with Boro taking a hold in the middle. More assertive in second. 6

Tufan: One decent run and a couple of passes aside, did little. 5

Slater: Started off well before Boro took over. Reasserted himself. 6

Smith: Shrugged off an early booking to set up Akpom’s goal. 7

Fry: Produced one great tackle to thwart Tufan. 7

Lenihan: A couple of loose passes aside, pretty steady. An assist for second. 7

Giles: Posed danger down the left and went close in first half. Struggled defensively in second half. Big role in third. 6

I Jones: Much, much better than on Saturday. 8

Howson: Grew into the game strongly. Assertive. 7

McGree: A little bit lightweight, but also had good moments. 6

Akpom: Found the net for the second successive game and was a handful. 8

Forss: Best half in a Boro shirt in a place he knows well. 7
