Millwall v Huddersfield Town - Harry Toffolo enjoying a new education with Carlos Corberan
Having played for him at Lincoln City and Huddersfield, Toffolo was clearly identified with the Danny Cowley regime Huddersfield are currently moving in a different direction from, but the left-back is blossoming under Corberan too.
He returns to former club Millwall not just a better player than the one who left the New Den, but than the one who started this season.

“I feel I’m flourishing. We’re enjoying working under him. He works on individual stuff that helps the team.
“He works on so many things. There’s so much work done on crossing, which I think is an area where I can improve.”
Toffolo has switched between left wing-back and full-back depending on whether Town play two or three centre-backs.

“You have to be very intelligent to play in a Carlos Corberan team because you might have to change formations mid-game. You have to make sure you know who you’re marking and that you’re doing your job for the team.
“But we have a way of playing and we believe in it.” Not that today will simply be a game between brains and brawn. The physical demands Corberan has put on his players have been as high as the mental ones.
“Whenever I’m playing I just know that I’m fitter than them,” says Toffolo. “Yes, they can have technical ability but I feel I can be quicker.
“The intensity on Murderball sessions are outrageous.
“The stats we get after the game are sky-high.”

Jonathan Hogg has been passed fit but fellow holding midfielder Alex Vallejo is unlikely to feature until after November’s international break. Vallejo completes his quarantine this week, but having joined as a free agent it will take him some time to get his fitness up to Corberan’s standards.
