Felix Wiedwald: Showed off his nifty footballing skills by dashing out of goal in the first half, which the crowd lapped up. Made a key second-half save to deny McGoldrick after being pretty underemployed before then, but should have done better with Ipswich’s second. 5

Luke Ayling: One great saving challenge to deny McGoldrick in the opening 45 minutes and provided typical thrust and energy going forward. 7

Conor Shaughnessy: Sublime pass for United’s opener, although was guilty of overplaying a touch at times. But plenty to admire in his game again. 6

Liam Cooper: Typically committed and displayed his newly-found aptitude for bringing the ball out from back. Made an important second half block to deny Nydam. 7

Vurnon Anita: Had his hands full with Ward and struggled at times, but did make a timely goalline clearance to deny Chambers just before the break. Substituted on the hour. 5

Eunan O’Kane: Held his ground in the middle and provided the platform for United’s attacking talents to excel. An integral figure in this new-look Leeds side. 8

Kalvin Phillips: Alertness saw him continue his fine season with a tidy fourth goal of the season. Defensive duties largely prevailed on the restart. 6

Ezgjan Alioski: One or two flashes and involved quite a bit on the restart and looked Leeds go-to man at times. 7

Pablo Hernandez: Looked at it from the off and his majestic back-heeled flick to create a chance for Saiz just before the break was worth the admission money alone. 8

Samuel Saiz: His telepathy with Hernandez was pleasing on the eye and despite not quite hitting the stellar heights of Burton, showed produced some moments of class. 7

Pierre-Michel Lasogga: Showed his value with the prowess of a marksman to fire United ahead with a clinical opener. Pretty quiet otherwise, but clearly a goalscorer. 6

Substitutes: Gaetano Berardi (Anita 60), 6, Stuart Dallas (Hernandez 68, 6), Jay Roy Grot (Lasogga 85, 6).
