The 2026/27 Premier League season is four rounds of fixtures in - and already serving up plenty of excitement.
Somewhat predictably, Arsenal and Manchester City are the unbeaten pace-setters at the league summit. The Gunners sit top following their 2-0 win over Sunderland and Manchester City are second having edged past Manchester United.
Considerably less predictably, Leeds United and Hull City are two of the division’s other unbeaten sides and occupy third and fourth respectively. The former completed a 4-1 rout of Newcastle United in the Monday night slot after the latter claimed a 2-2 draw away at Chelsea at the weekend.
Further down the table, Aston Villa were beaten 2-1 by Nottingham Forest and Ipswich Town were 3-2 winners at Crystal Palace. AFC Bournemouth and Brentford played out a 2-2 draw and it was goalless between Liverpool and Fulham, as well as in the meeting between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.
Coventry City’s difficult start to the season, meanwhile, continued with a 5-0 home defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
Following the latest twists and turns, data experts Opta have deployed their supercomputer to predict how the final Premier League table will look.
