HERE are the Barnsley player ratings from Tuesday night’s League One play-off semi-final second leg against Bolton Wanderers.

Roberts: Certainly did not cover himself in glory for the second and was not commanding from set-plays. 5

J Williams: Did give his all to be fair, in quite probably his swansong. 6

De Gevigney: A learning experience for the Frenchman this season. Still far from the finished article. 5

Earl: Not convincing and one of many whose form has dipped in the final quarter of the season. 5

O’Keeffe: Switched to the left after Cadden exited the fray. Booked. 6

Phillips: Found the net for the 12th time this season. Booked. 6

Connell: Jeered on his Bolton return. Could not really get into it. 6

Kane: Probably his last game for the club and was not an auspicious one. 5

Cadden: Plenty of work down his side with Dacres-Copley a danger. Quiet going forward by his standards. Could be his sign off. 5

Cosgrove: Strong performance after being restored to the starting line-up. Scored twice and registered an assist. Has scored as many play-off gaosl as he managed in the league. 8

McAtee: His assist for Barnsley’s opener was a delight. Will be missed following an excellent loan spell. 6

Substitutes: Cotter (Cadden 62) 7.

Grant (Kane 62). Lovely cross for Cosgrove’s second. 7

Cole (McAtee 62) An impact in quite possibly his last game in a Reds jersey. 7

Not used: Killip, Russell, Jalo, McCart.
