Ben Hamer: Will have been grateful that Wisdom fired straight at him when well placed in the run-up to half-time. Made one fantastic and key second half save to deny Holmes. 7

Pipa: The player most likely for Town in the first half. Curled an early effort wide and then stung the palms of Marshall with a fierce shot. Also chanced his arm ahead of the break. Quieter in second. 7

Richard Stearman: Produced one important early tackle to deny Byrne. Reassuringly reliable. 7

Naby Sarr: Gifted one chance to Bird, An evening in concentration, given that he was not really marking a centre forward. Distribution a little wayward at times, but solid enough. 6

Harry Toffolo: Energy levels and discipline good as always and his brilliant low cross was almost turned in by Campbell early in the second half. Not to be denied with his assist setting up Bacuna. Wonderfully consistent. 7

Carel Eiting: Hinted at one or two things, but couldn't truly impose himself. 6

Jonathan Hogg: His look towards Lawrence after some faux theatrics in the box said it all. Showed his versatility by slotting in at centre-half on occasions. Did his job for the team as always. 7

Juninho Bacuna: Another who could not really get going in the first half. But made up for it on the resumption. 7

Isaac Mbenza: Lots of graft and work for the team without the ball. Could not impose himself going forward. 6

Fraizer Campbell: Plenty of selfless running, but little dropped in the box. A telling hand in the Town goal, mind. 7

Lewis O'Brien. Made his return on home soil on 64 minutes. Came on for Eiting. 6
