Hull City

Ingram: In the right place to deny Pearson early on. 6

Christie: Huddersfield took care of him well enough going forward. 6

A Jones: Him and his colleagues weren’t comfortably in first half. 5

McLoughlin: Rhodes put himself about and kept City’s defence on their toes. 5

Greaves: One or two half-decent crosses on left. Moved to centre in second half. 6

Docherty: Sacrified as City tried to up the ante. 5

Seri: Tried to make things happen at least. But was also loose at times. 5

Longman: Endeavoured to cut inside when he got the chance. One or two flashes, not much else. 6

Slater: Had comfortably the best chance of a limp first-half from Hull. 6

Smith: Involved out wide a fair bit and nothing really dropped where it mattered. 5

Estupinan: Little involvement in first half. But came alive in the second half to save City. 7

Substitutes: Tufan (McLoughlin 59) 7; Elder (Longman 59) 7; Connolly (Smith 66) 5; Tetteh (Docherty 66) 7; Coyle (Christie 84), 6.

Huddersfield Town

Bilokapic: Protected well in first half. Did make an important save to deny Slater and Estupinan before a cruel late concession. 7

Lees: Was solid as a rock before erring right at the death. 7

Helik: Another goal versus Hull and was superb at the back. Again. 8

Pearson: First game this season, but you would have never have known. Almost netted early on. 8

Lowton: Produced some nice work going forward and attentive in defence. Nearly scored. 7

Hogg: Always there and was a real force. 8

High: Handed a surprise first appearance of the season. Dug in for team. Lots of work. 7

Ruffels: Produced some nice deliveries at times and defended well. 7

Rudoni: Got into some excellent positions and worried Hull. Shame he went off with a knock. 8

Holmes: Threatened in the first half, in particular. 7

Rhodes: Grafted for the team and put himself about. 6
