Rotherham United boss Moore signs striker son

Tranmere striker Ian Thomas-Moore has joined League Two promotion chasers Rotherham for an undisclosed fee.

The 34-year-old returned to Rovers in January 2008 and scored 38 goals in 140 appearances in his second spell at the club, but will now join his father and Millers boss Ronnie Moore at Rotherham.

Tranmere manager Les Parry said: "I'm sorry to see Ian leave us but Rotherham have been tracking him for some 18 months.

"We have been negotiating an extended contract with Ian for some months. Unfortunately, we were not able to come to an agreement and he has decided to take the opportunity presented from Rotherham."
